All My Puny Sorrows (Miriam Toews) 4. All. I saw great reviews about this book in several places, including at least two magazines. So I gave it a go. But now I'm left with the confusion that comes when you don't like something that everyone else seems to love.

The story follows the modern-day ancestors of the real-life Romeo and Juliet, who believe themselves to be victims of All my Juliets book curse that has plagued the families for years, /5. When I first started writing the book, it was going to only be about the secretaries but then I actually wrote my own letter to Juliet and I wanted to tell the story of that.

A brief prologue in the form of a sonnet tells us that we’re about to spend two hours watching a “star-crossed” love story that ends in death, but also reconciliation between the two conflicting houses to which the lovers belonged.

Then have my lips the sin that they have took. I,5, You kiss by the book. I,5, Come hither, nurse. What is yond gentleman. I,5, What's he that now is going out of door.

I,5, What's he that follows there, that would not dance. I,5, Go ask his name: if he be married. My grave is like to be my wedding bed. And may not wear them. I wish the sun would hurry up and set and night would come immediately. When the night comes and everyone goes to sleep, Romeo will leap into my arms, and no one will know.
